One of his students asked Buddha, "Are you the messiah?"
"No", answered Buddha.
"Then are you a healer?"
"No", Buddha replied.
"Then are you a teacher?" the student persisted.
"No, I am not a teacher."
"Then what are you?" asked the student, exasperated.
"I am awake", Buddha replied.
In other words the Buddha said I am conscious. He was no longer living through the limited mind or thought processes. He was living as the boundless. He was saying I am free.
Final thoughts on today's blog post:
The little me thinks it is the true observer of life.... in TRUTH it is secondary. God, Buddha nature, Awake, Allah, Consciousness... that which is called by many names is the FIRST. It is the unmannifested appearing as the manifested (you and I) in all its appearances. Satan, Devil, (hence little devil, little me) or Dukha (I am not saying bad or evil) has sat on the throne believing it was the ruler of the world taking credit for it all, I did this and I did that. In the end that which is called by many names returns for the throne and receives all the glory, the little me is then humbled by the TRUTH ( I of my own self can do nothing) and remains seated next to the throne where it shall remain. This is when the TRUTH will say: "Awake is awake! I am Awake"!! I Am that I Am.
Peace be with you!
