I Would Like To Introduce You To The Commentator

In case you were not aware... you have a commentator in your head. Do not tell anyone though, they might think you are crazy, and just so you know, they have one too, and everyone does. The commentator gives you play by play what it thinks about what is happening now, what it thinks about what has happened in the past, and what it thinks will happen in the future. Have you ever heard yourself talking out loud? Say hello to your commentator. That is it. That is the one.

When the commentator gives its perspective on life and feels it is good, no problem. When the commentator gives its perspective on life and feels it is bad, there may be a problem. You may become angry, frustrated, and unable to focus on what is actually right in from of you.

Life is busy. It appears there are places to go, people to see, and things to do. While you are busy living your life this commentator runs in the background unnoticed, it acts much like a child who is trying to get attention.  When you feel stress, the commentator is causing it. It is causing stress in your body in hopes that you will pay attention, but you do not, up to this moment, you may have been very unaware of it. If the commentator continues to go unnoticed, more severe physical conditions can appear. So what to do about the commentator? What does it really want?
